Referring to your point no 4, you could have used different words like incentive/bonus/commission rather than "bribe",its looks just unethical to me as a marketing guy, btw the offline marketing depends upon products and particular demography and culture of the region or country, likewise one can also consider giving ad in newspaper, magazine, radio, local cable, yellow pages or ad on car.
