i had problems with transparency from photoshop into flash too - gifs don't work too well in flash, your best bet is to save it as a transparent png file, then transport it into flash, and on properties make sure you select the 'lossless png/jpg' option.

why do you want to import a gif into flash? you can probably make a much slicker animation in flash itself - infact you can probably create the gifs in flash using their drawing tools?
