Sorry about that. What I mean is I like to base my keyword research on the basic principles of Latent Sematic Indexing.

While I don't think Google is using advanced LSI, it is clear that they are using the basic principles. LSI involves focusing not only on which keywords are on your page . . . but which ones are not.
