Magic Majax, you echo a friend of mine who thinks that all blogs are boring, trivial fluff, and never worth his time. I think my own blog is a pretty good compliment to my company as a "business blog." In my blog I try to show the "other side" of my company and my life in Japan, reposting the content that shows on my
company website's main page on my
blog as well (the blog is a permanent archive, but my main site changes every other day). I then add links to products I think are especially cool for that day, so people who are perhaps in a hurry don't need to look through all 50+ new product we introduced for that day (they can surf my highlights). Finally, the comments are always cool, and I develop a relationship with some people I never would have been able to interact with.
In case you're still not convinced consider this. I track sales made through my blog as if I were one of our affilates, and I've made over $40,000 in sales through these links, which really makes me think that you should take a second look at blogs even if you personally don't like some of them.
^_^
