Ditto.

The brother-in-law is only 47 but already has default text set to largest to make it easier on his eyes. Definitely eye-opening, and as a baby boomer he'd represent a large market. (I just squeak in as an X-gen, although I did get the old eyes lasered last year).

The standard fixed width sites (770px) with 3 cols set to large text often work out pretty ugly.

Over Christmas there were some great bargains in laptops in Sydney, finally getting some decent ones under $800AUS. I got one for my son (for educational programs of course), and it was widescreen format.

So in Sydney at least, there'll be heaps of widescreen laptops around.

Again, so much wasted space on the sides of those fixed width sites.
