That's been my take on the situation. I can't see making a lot of changes to a site that's basically followed the rules. I enjoyed the comments of Greg Boser, "I've been spamming Google for years." That's saying it like it is.
The mystery of why crappy sites still rise to the top will forever elude - it's our job to do the best we can and "get over it" as far as Google is concerned. I remember when getting in Yahoo was required (with specific requirements), then Google (who knows what they want), now ... who's next? We'll have to wait for the dust to settle.
Thanks again for your reporting. It was excellent - very well done. You deserve a raise!
