Have you thought about how you're going to do secondary navigation for browsers with JavaScript turned off (such as search engine spiders) at all?

I haven't used Yahoo stores ever, but your post set up a red flag for me. Make sure you're considering the change because it makes sense for both your visitors and your business, not just because it's the "Cool" thing to do.
