Other factors matter more than size
Ultimately, it is the relevance that matters. What good is size if I cannot get the results I am looking for. However, when researching unknowns or trying to get deeper into a topic, I cannot help but think that the bigger engine might be more likely to return better results. But the perceived ease of usability can also be affected by brand loyalty, cleaner start page and market leadership (perceived or real). No wonder then, that I use Google most of the time.
One area where I prefer Yahoo over anything else is news, where they appear to be quickest to release details of a breaking news.
