I kind of agree about the lack of info about the site on the start page but I'm not sure how to handle that problem. Maybe a welcome page with some blurb about what the site is for with a 'click here to enter' button to take you through to the portal page?

You're right, the logo sucks and blows all at the same time :) My design skills are poor at best! I wanted to have a handwriting style of font for the logo and wordart was as good as it gets for me!

Do you (or anyone else) have suggestions on how to make navigation of the site a little less confusing?
