Is their a way to check the status of the redirect, maybe in the response headers sent to the browser?

I am curious to see if it is a 301 or 302? I know Google was at one point having a problem with 302's.

I found this link in the backlinks in MSN, the first link was from an advertisement.

http://www.holidays.net/christmas/

it has since been replaced with 302 redirect from a Directory

http://www.categoo.org/?url=http://w...o&category=Toy

As soon as this backlink was updated to redirect URL my listing fell from #4 to #9 on MSN. I am assuming my listing lost the power of the better link and the categoo link is duplicate content now.
