Yes, I agree and I am ashamed of myself. I'll leave it like it is for a couple of weeks and see how the PR of the new site builds up then take the pain of dropping the doorway page. What is interesting though is the quantum shift from say three years ago when smaller highly focused websites with domain names matching the key terms scored far better than bigger general purpose sites. I expect that this means that Google is female - its fickle. I suppose I had better pose that question in the breakroom - what gender is Google? Though I expect its there already!
