All of my sites average about a 1.5% click-through rate with Adsense. None of my sites do better than 5%. However, my wife (who only knows basic HTML code) made a website for sh*ts and giggles at
http://www.dietplans4u.org. I decided to put an Adsense channel on the site, and this month it's achieved 251 click-throughs on 1,030 page impressions. That's a whopping 24.4% click-through rate!!!
I'm flabergasted, and I'm actually worried that it's TOO HIGH, and that Google will become suspicious of click fraud.
Anyway, I was wondering if people experience higher click-through rates on crappier sites? My new theory is that when people go to a site and they don't find what they are looking for, they are more likely to click on Adsense. Any other ideas? Thanks.
