It could just be that since Google's algorithm is different from Inktomi's, it values some factors more than others.

With Google you need links pointing to your site with the keyword/phrase you want to rank on.

Another thing to consider:
For "hewlett packard shopping" you have the following results for each engine:

Yahoo - 2,560,000
MSN - 471,591
Google - 18,200,000

Just by looking at those numbers, it's clear that you're going to have to do more to get ranked well in Google.
